Farm Story
This is a dairy farm located in Moshav Batha in the Negev.
The farm was established in the 50's having two cows milked by hand. Step by step, the dairy farming grew. At the beginning of the 70's the first parlor was built, it had two stalls and milk jars. In October 2006 new parlor was built replacing the old one. Today Sharon is the manager of the dairy. The two Thai workers milk the cows while Sharon is able to check up on them without necessarily being there physically. In addition, Sharon can monitor the inseminations, milk yields sick cows and so forth.
Annual milk production averages
Milk yield average per day: 32 liters a day.
Milk yield average per head: 11,500 liters.
The reasons for choosing the AfiMilk System were
1. Recommendations by other farmers.
2. Price
3. The convenient payment (installments).
4. Good recommendations of other factors
5. The majority can't be wrong!
Herd management
Sharon is amazed with the achievements so far and can't understand how, in the past, he managed the farm without the AfiFarm program. The opportunity to know exactly what is happening at any given time in the dairy farm gives him full control and safety. Sharon spends about one hour per day working on the computer.
Customer Service
One of the reasons for buying the Afimilk Management System is the service that is given to clients and Afimilk's dealer. The farm manager is very pleased with the upgrade of the parlor, the system and with the management system.
