Farm Story
Until 2002 each kibbutz had its own farm and every kibbutz worked with Afimilk. In 2002 the Kibbutz Magen and Gvulot dairy farms merged and began working as one Herd in Gvulot.
In 2006 kibbutz Be'eri's also joined the partnership of kibbutz Magen and kibbutz Gvulot, and on December of that year they built a new parlor with AfiLite Milk Meters replacing the old 2X14 Herringbone parlor which was equipped with MM85 Meters.
Annual milk production averages
Milk yield average per day: 34-38 liters a day depending on the season.
Milk yield average per head: 11,000 liters
Herd Management
We manage our dairy farming with the assistance of the AfiFarm program, which is very easy to use. Tomer, our manager, feels that we use just a bit of this program's potential, while he uses only the his herdsman's assistance.
Main uses: monitoring milk yields, heat detection, mastitis detection and udder health.
Customer Service
The service and support are the best, when we took the decision about the system; afimilk appeared to us as the only information system that can be trusted.
