Job Description
The Production Engineering Team Leader will function as a key member of the Operations team that leads technical activities in the Engineering Department, manages and supports the day-to-day activities of the Production Engineering team. This function will be accountable for all Afimilk's released products, continuous improvement, support our TK suppliers, manufacturing processes, production and assembly, cost reduction initiatives and processing of engineering changes in all aspects improving our products efficiency, capacity, and quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Managing/Support Turn- Key/Suppliers engineering activities for box build/subunits, local and overseas throughout the project lifecycle and post release
- Support on-going production processes and equipment, train subcontractors & production line, validation of manufacturing process to meet targets, production output and quality standards
- lead operation engineering processes such as Waiver/Deviations, EOL, root causes analysis, continues improvement, Audits.
- Develop, maintain, and motivate staff to execute engineering project list consistent with manufacturing and management needs and priorities.
- Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities and initiatives in manufacturing
- Generate and maintain product documentation and operation procedures to support Afimilk
- Generate and maintain product documentation and operation procedures to support Afimilk production lines (AI, block/process diagram, ATP's, etc.')
- Responsible for conducting product ECO process include implementation and configuration control, , lead and implement data-driven quality, manufacturing, and cost improvement projects.
- Responsible for maintaining Product file, BOM, jigs/tools/Fixtures design, production needs and troubleshooting
- Ensure early focus of manufacturability in New Product Introduction (NPI) &existing install base
- Manage and execute FAIs at subcontractors’ site
- Support quality related tasks, documentation, and process (IQC, IPQC, OQC. DOE, 8D,CAPA)
- Be the operation technical focal point for all released
- Driving manufacturing readiness reviews to ensure all Manufacturing functions are ready for next NPI phase
Requirements
B.Sc. in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from a leading university or equivalent experience
5+ years of proven experience in an engineering & manufacturing environment of multidisciplinary products (Electronics, Mechanic, SW, Testing, Integration)
3+ years leading/managing production engineering team or alternative engineering group
Working knowledge of manufacturing/mechanical processes and equipment
Experience in leading cross functional projects/project management
Proven leadership and management of diverse work teams.
Proven experience with Turn-key project management and suppliers
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English & Hebrew
Self-motivated, self-maintained and able to take the initiative to solve problems
Team player and excellent interpersonal skills
Punctual (attention to details).
Systematic thinking, leadership, and management skills
Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
Education
B.Sc. in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from a leading university or equivalent experience
Personal Attributes
Proven working experience with CAD, Solid Works is an advantage
Experience in leading a DFX process
Experience with GD@T
Hands -on
Experience with Priority ERP system -advantage
Experience in mass-production - an advantage
Proficient in documentation
