Software Technical Application Specialist

Description

PURPOSE:          

Deliver first-in-class technical support & complex software technical resolutions to North America dealer organization. Ensure heavy engagement in product training and develop a deep understanding of Afimilk software systems and SQL databases. Effectively work in a collaborative environment to resolve complex software-related issues as well as be effective in independently trouble-shooting issues and reaching resolutions, remotely.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:            

a.     Participate in company training sessions and or meetings as required.

b.     Provide remote training and guidance to dealers and end customers (webinars, Team Viewer etc.).

c.     Support end users and dealers via phone, at dealerships and on farms (when applicable).

d.     Respond to service calls and direct inquiries on a daily basis.

e.     Provide after hours and weekend support on a rotational “on-call” basis.

f.      Provide comprehensive communication and follow ups with Dealers, HQ Support, and all regional Afimilk staff.

g.     Ability to document and maintain records in our service call ticketing system.

h.     Perform daily management of service call statuses to ensure all service calls are being responded to in a timely fashion, entered in the ticketing system and documented correctly, and closed in a timely fashion.

i.       Be the Afimilk software “go to expert”.

j.       Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Requirements

KNOW HOW:

a.     Knowledge of Modern US dairy practices preferred

b.     Expert knowledge in TCP\IP, SQL, routers, windows OS (XP\7\8), WIFI systems

c.      Fluent in both speaking and writing Spanish is preferred

d.     Customer Service and Support experience preferred

e.     Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

f.      Prior understanding of Afimilk products is a plus

g.     Ability to work within a team and comfortable working alone

h.     Flexibility to travel on a very limited basis

i.      Excellent listening skills

j.      Organized with the ability to keep ongoing and updated records

k.     Experience with herd management software

l.      Previous proven experience working closely with dairy farmers a plus

m.   Self-motivated with a drive to succeed

n.     Ability to work independently and as a team member

o.     Schedule flexibility

p.     Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Programming, or other related field a plus


WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:           

Works with all members of the Afimilk U.S., Canada, and South America Team and with members of the Afimilk headquarters group in Israel.
