Technical Support Specialist – South Island



Support channel partners and customers on farm, executing technical support to all New Zealand and as required, Global regions. Train Afimilk’s dealer technicians to become competent and certified in both the application and installation of Afimilk’s products.


·      The position will entail extensive traveling

·      Train Afimilk dealers’ technicians to improve their knowledge of Afimilk’s products

·      Transfer technical HW/SW knowledge to dealers’ support/technical personnel

·      Special projects/assignments as requested by Manager/Israel HQ

·      Provide presale support to Afimilk’s sales personnel and our dealers’/distributor’s sales personnel

·      Provide technical after-sale support according to Manager/dealers

·      Provide remote & onsite support according to Manager/HQ requirements

·      Follow the correct call escalation process and Service Level Agreement (SLA) as set by HQ

·      Improve the level of cooperation with the sales team and increase sales when possible

·      Participate in Global Support team training and seminars overseas

·      Participate in Global Technical Service activity and provide technical support to customers out of NZ as requested

·      Responsibility for assisting New Zealand/Australia regional technical support within 3-5 months of starting employment


Required Experience and traits:

·      IT/Networking/Windows environment – at least 3 years’ practical knowledge and experience

·      WIFI systems environment – at least 3 years’ practical knowledge/experience (concurrent experience is fine). Outdoor wireless networking would be an advantage.

·      Strong customer service focus

·      Live and on-line training skills

·      Highly disciplined, motivated, and able to self-manage time/tasks

·      Dairy farm working environment - practical knowledge/experience would be an advantage

·      Customer support, with the ability to communicate well with dealers, installers and farmers

The Successful Applicant will:

·      Follow all Afimilk HQ procedures & regulations

·      Complete qualifications on all Afimilk core products including on site & remote support and technical training will be provided

·      Be evaluated by a HQ representative, as to their technical level, after 6 months from start of employment.
