Send Messages from the MPC Control Box to AfiFarm PC

Messages are sent from milk meters to AfiFarm as a note to the herdsman.

Note: Message definitions are determined by each farm.  The farm is responsible for explaining the list of messages to the parlor operators.

Messages are two-digit numbers sent from the MPC Control Box to AfiFarm.

The following messages are available:

Send Pre-defined Messages

AfiFarm contains several messages with automatic operation features.

  • Code Entry Messages

Single digit messages sent for a cow activates code assignment to this cow. Thus, if message 0004 is sent, the system will assign the cow with code 04. These codes are usually used to alert milkers in the following milking shift to the cows needing attention.

Alphabet codes are assigned to cows for which messages 90-99 are sent per the table below.

These alphabet codes are usually used as Sort Commands from the milking parlor:

Send or Cancel Notations to the Herdsman

Send a message from the MPC Control to AfiFarm using the following method:

On the MPC Control Box, type two zeros and the two-digit number of the message you want to send.

For example, to send the message "7" type .

Note: Only one message is allowed for each cow! Sending a second message cancels and replaces the previous message.
