Set Milking Point ID Numbers
It is necessary to assign the correct stall numbers to each milk meter. This allows AfiFarm to identify which device is communicating and assign the correct data to cows.
Note: The highest Stall ID number allowed is 64. In parlors larger than 64 milking points, multiple communication lines are needed for connecting the milk meters to the system!
In rotary parlors, MPC numbers are sequential – the milking point number 1 is at attachment position when the parlor is at rest between sessions.
In parallel or herringbone parlors, the MPC ID numbers are defined as follows:
Stand with your back to the ID controller, facing the milking pit. Its location does not matter.
-
The stall on the left side are the low-numbered stalls. Stall #1 is furthest from the entry gate.
-
The stalls on the right side are the high-numbered stalls.
