Validate Tags

All AfiCollars are assigned and engraved with their own, unique 9-digit serial numbers. Serial numbers are assigned automatically during production to streamline logistics and allow Afimilk to ship the tags quickly to customers.

Once the tags are received there is a compulsory 2-step process for validating and registering them.

Step 1: Assign the tag to the animal, see Assign the Tag Number for options on how to do this.

Step 2: Make sure the tag is identified by the Afimilk Reader within 7 days of assigning the tag to the animal.

Invalidated tags can be validated when the tag is identified by the Afimilk Reader. Once the Afimilk Reader has identified an invalid tag, it takes up to 24 hours to confirm and complete the validation process.
