Every drop of milk has a story to tell
The Afimilk milking point controller (MPC) and ICAR-approved milk meter gives you full control of the milking process – accurately measuring milk flow, milk yield, conductivity and parlor performance from every cow at every milking.
Its state-of-the-art conductivity sensor is used for effective and early detection of mastitis, and to reduce the damage caused by udder disease.
Protect against vacuum fluctuations and customize pulsation based on milk flow.
Identify fluctuations in milk production.
Maximize parlor efficiency to save labor.
Detect mastitis early and keep contaminated milk out of the tank.
The fill and dump design of our ICAR-approved milk meter captures data on every fill, continuously tracking milk weights, conductivity and milking flow thresholds. Installed at each milking point, our meters allow producers to create custom milking profiles per cow based on average milking time and stimulation needs, and even adjust milking point behavior per animal for improved efficiency.
The milk meter’s controller, the MPC, is a powerful tool in the parlor, acting as an interface between the milking pit and AfiFarm herd management software.
The MPC not only controls the milking point to start and stop milking, and initiate milk meter cleaning, it also displays cow data, including cow and group number, milk weights, conductivity and flow rate. Milkers can use the keypad to enter missing IDs, send messages, and enter codes to flag cows for sorting and treatment, and more.
MPC and milk meter data is analyzed in AfiFarm herd management software to help producers make decisions on productivity, labor performance and individual cow health.
The Afimilk MPC and milk meter serves as the anchor of the parlor automation solution, and its data can be used and amplified across the Afimilk solution.
